Moreover, subscribing to the app enables you to create custom entry types and track any specific elements that are relevant to you. You have the freedom to name these entries and choose unique icons. Additionally, both custom and basic entry types come equipped with a dedicated notes field to further personalize your tracking. Subscription pricing for these advanced features is $8.99 per year and includes a complimentary 7-day free trial period.

Furthermore, the Period app allows you to engage in direct messaging with friends and family for added convenience and support. You even have the option to automatically notify selected contacts when you start your period, fostering a sense of connection and understanding.

The Period app serves numerous purposes. It enables you to track both physical and emotional changes, provides timely reminders for tasks like pill intake or patch replacement, predicts future periods, assesses the regularity of your cycles, identifies if your periods are particularly heavy, monitors various forms of contraception (like Nuva Ring, birth control pills or patches), tracks basal body temperature, discharge or LH levels to determine ovulation patterns, and ultimately helps you gain better self-awareness by recognizing patterns.

In addition to its practical features, the app also supports Dark Mode for users who prefer a darker interface aesthetic.

To facilitate an easy start, you have the ability to import a .csv file into the Period app. Furthermore, should you decide to switch apps or simply want to maintain a personal backup, all your data can be exported as it remains solely yours.
